Bishop John P Dolan

Was officially installed as the 5th bishop of the Diocese of Phoenix. May the Lord bless him and us as he shepherds the Diocese of Phoenix. “The local Church has been built by parishioners and Bishop Olmsted over the past 18 years, this is nothing short of amazing. More than 1.1 million Catholics, the fastest growing diocese in the nation (Magazine of the Diocese of Phoenix; Together Let Us Go Forth; Aug/Sept 2022; p.4).

Bishop Dolan, stay close to the authentic teachings of the Catholic Church. Stay under Our Lady’s mantle with your daily rosary. Stay close to the Sacred Heart of Our Blessed Lord in the tabernacle and emerge ready to teach, govern, sanctify us and prepare us for heaven, remember, the angels are on your side.  This is what Our Lord expects from all his Priest’s, most especially a Bishop who receives the fullness of ‘Holy Orders’ (CCC 1594). Malachi 2:7 “For the lips of a priest should guard knowledge, and men should seek instruction from his mouth, for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.”

God’s will for all of us is that we become holy, renounce this sinful world and get to heaven. Bishop Dolan, help us achieve repentance, holiness and salvation by your leadership based on the ‘deposit of faith’ handed down by Our Lord, to the apostles and to you, a successor of the apostles.

*1 Timothy 2:3-4 “This is good and pleasing to God our savior, who wills everyone to be saved and to come to knowledge of the truth.” God wants to save our soul. 

*1 Thessalonians 4:3 “This is the will of God, your holiness: that you refrain from immorality…” God wants to make us holy.                             

*Romans 12:2 “Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the ‘will of God’, what is good and pleasing and perfect.” We must reject the sinful allurements of the world. Help us by being a faithful holy orthodox leader.

Bishops and Priests are our officers on the battlefield. They need our prayers and we need to support them in all things that build up the kingdom of God and fight for souls! However, our Bishops need to “preach from the housetops” (Luke 12:3 DR) “the whole counsel of God” (Acts 20:27 RSV) “because the days are evil” (Ephesian 5:15 RSV). “Bishops, with Priests as co-workers, have as their first task ‘to preach the Gospel of God to all men,’ in keeping with the Lord’s command” (CCC 888).
